I have found one lesson the hard way, what version of studio are you running. I have found that with 2003 you need to use the following files:
Crystal_Database_Access2003.msm
Crystal_Database_Access2003_enu.msm
Crystal_Managed2003.msm
Crystal_regwiz2003.msm
I found out that these are the files that work best with .net 1.1 I could not get the older set of merge files to work. In the properties window of the Crystal_regwiz2003.msm you will see MergeModule Properties with a “+” in a square to maximize it. Once opened you should see a field for license key. Your license key can be found on the main menu under “Help”, “About Microsoft Development Environment”. You will see a list there, and included should be “Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET #####-#######-######” Copy the ###'s into the license field and you should be running.
